If you are a genealogy enthusiast, the Library offers access to Ancestry that can be used on-site at the Library. Ancestry gives access to billions of records such as census data, vital records, immigration records, family histories, military records, photos, maps and much more. This online collection includes records from North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and beyond.
If you are native to the town or region, you also may find valuable sources among the historical records housed at the Library, including family trees.
Best of all, the Library hosts an active genealogy group that meets regularly. Join in, and you’ll also gain the benefit of guidance from some experienced genealogical researchers to develop your own family tree.
Contact the library for information on the genealogy group.
